Country TRAX Grand Central will have a monthly breakfast ride for Adventure / Dual Purpose bikes. These rides will be on the 3rd Sunday of every month. The ride will be mostly dirt roads, Jeep track and some single spoor.

Introduction to offroad motorcycling for dual sport and dirt bikes

ABOUT THE COURSE
This course is aimed at those riders who are proficient on the road, but new to off-road motorcycling and wish to improve their confidence and skill. As such, it is also the perfect stepping stone for those who intended to eventually complete further off-road rider training. Riders must provide their own dual-purpose motorcycles.

Things you will learn on this course:
* Basic theory
* Balancing the bike
* Throttle and clutch control
* The correct body position on the bike
* Basic off-road riding skills
* Emergency braking techniques, etc.
and you will do plenty of riding during the day!*


REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are required to be competent motorcycle riders on the road, and be aquinted with the basics of their bike to gain maximum benefit from the course. Please note that this is not a beginner motorcycle course, therefore we require that you have already mastered control of the bike in normal road riding conditions before you arrive.

Weekend offroad course for dual sport and dirt bikes

ABOUT THE COURSE
For Dual purpose bike training or Adventure bike training. This course is specifically designed to ease you into off-road riding. The course starts on Friday morning and ends with Sunday lunch. A comprehensive course, it covers all aspects of off-road riding and provides a steady learning curve.

The course is great for anyone lacking a bit of confidence, but it's especially great to get rid of bad habits that may have accumulated over years of self-taught riding! After completing this course successfully, you will be able to enjoy the wonders of dual-sport riding anytime, anywhere!

While the course is structured in such a way to accommodate riders of all skill-levels, it requires that anyone attending it, already have experience with riding a motorcycle and are confident when riding on tar.

Things you will learn on the course:
* Important theory on off-road riding and motorcycling in general.
* In-depth discussions on protective clothing, tyre pressure, trouble shooting etc.
* General bike maintenance.
* Balance exercises.
* Overcoming obstacles such as thick sand, water, logs & holes in the road, uphills & downhills etc.
* Emergency braking.
* Outride,
* and LOTS more!


REQUIREMENTS
We highly recommend that you have completed the Introduction to offroad riding course, but it is not required.

Dirtbike fundamentals for dirt bikes

ABOUT THE COURSE
This course has been designed for dirt-bike riders (typically between 125cc and 550cc), that aims at improving their off-road / enduro riding skills. The course will satisfy needs of the beginner, to intermediate rider, and will cover all aspects of riding a dirtbike, right up to advanced techniques to cross difficult terrain and obstacles.
If you plan to racing regionals enduro / off-road races, this course is ideal !

What you will learn on the course:
* 5 controls of a dirtbike
* Riding position & riding style
* Balancing & slow riding
* High speed cornering on flat ground
* Highspeed cornering in ruts and sand
* Jumping a dirtbike
* Crossing over large logs and holes
* River crossings
* Emergency stops
* Wheelies and stoppies (or nose wheelies)
* Steep uphils and downhills
* How to ride rocks
* How to ride 'whoops'
* Sand riding

Advanced offroad course for dual sport bikes

ABOUT THE COURSE
The Advanced off-road riding course is just that - advanced!

It is compulsory that participants successfully complete the "Weekend Off-Road Course" (mentioned above) first and are absolutely sure that they have mastered all techniques and skills taught there, before attempting the Advanced Course.

This is a very challenging course, which teaches the salient points of the craft and will delight experienced off-roaders.

As part of the course there will be a night ride on the Thursday evening, so make sure you get there early !

With the format of the new advanced, you will be scored on the following points,
as this will determine if you have completed the course successfully or not.
1. The riders level of skills.
2. The overall fitness of the rider.
3. The safety awareness of the rider.
4. Environmental awareness of the rider.
5. Overall "sharpness" of the rider.
6. The riders level of "Kamaraderie".
7. The riders ability to ensure he does not damage the motorcycle.


REQUIREMENTS
We require you to have completed the Weekend offroad course, and recommend you have done the Dirtbike Fundamentals course (if you have a dirt bike)
